We did not build a school. We built a desk.
Arka is the platform that does the small arithmetical work a school never wanted to do by hand. It sits where the registers used to sit. A Kinyoubi Atelier & Co. product, made in Jeypore, for the schools of India.
Pilot conversations are open. This page is not a claim of public availability, an operating school deployment, or a published rate card.
The timetable the teacher sees is the timetable the inspector sees.

Substitutions, room changes, exam duties, day sheets, all from the same grid.
Teachers do not maintain a private timetable. Sections do not maintain a separate one. Exam duty rosters and the regular class schedule are the same object, in two views. No double booking. Ever.
- Double booking? One teacher, two classrooms. Arka refuses.
- Mystery substitutions? The substitute is logged, not whispered.
- Lost free periods? Workload visible, balanced, signed off.
- Inspector surprises? The grid is the record. Print it.
Ms Naik is on leave. By 7:50, three free Hindi teachers are visible. By 8:02 the substitution is locked, and Class IX B opens its books to the right name.
One grid. Every class. Every teacher. Every room.
Discuss the timetable workflow →The child is one child. The record should be one record.
The admission form becomes the student record. Every desk, class teacher, accountant, hostel warden, transport in charge, principal, reads from the same row.
A parent walks in for a Transfer Certificate. Eight minutes later, she walks out with it. Marks pulled. Conduct attached. Fees verified. Stamp printed.
No file pulled from the cupboard. No “madam, please come tomorrow.” No phone calls between desks.
The school writes once. Every desk reads the same record.
One school. One record. One calm desk.
Discuss the student record model →The receipt is the entry.
When the parent pays, the account updates. No evening re entry. No duplicate posting. No paid parent receiving a reminder.
| Ledger · Auto posted | 12 May 2025 | |
|---|---|---|
| 11:24 | Tuition Fees · IX-B · Aarav K. | ₹ 24,000 |
| 11:24 | Transport · Route 07 · Q2 | ₹ 6,400 |
| 11:24 | Activity Fund · Q2 | ₹ 1,800 |
| 11:24 | Concession · sibling · IX-B | ₹ 2,200 |
| 11:24 | Bank · HDFC current · UPI | ₹ 30,000 |
Double entry accounting under the receipt counter. A clean audit trail under every concession. Trust level reports that do not need to be reconciled at the end of the year, because they were reconciled at the moment of payment.
No re entry. No duplicates. No paid parent reminded.
Discuss the fees and ledger model →A school is not a WhatsApp group.
Send once. Reach every parent. Keep the record with the school, not on a coordinator’s phone.
Circulars go out as SMS, email, WhatsApp and parent portal post, together, not in four passes. Delivery logs, opens, replies, escalations, all attached to the school, not the messenger. When a coordinator leaves, the conversation stays.
- Class group on a personal number
- Three coordinators, three forwards
- No record after the academic year
- Office phone number circulating
- “Did everyone get it?”
- One circular · four channels · one log
- Read receipts and delivery status
- Replies routed to the right desk
- Archived, searchable, signed off
- Owned by the school. Always.
A holiday is announced at 9:14. By 9:16, every parent has the message, and the school has the record.
Send once. Reach every parent. Own the record.

What a school should verify.
Four questions for a product conversation. They state the boundary of this preview without making claims about competitors or deployments.
- 01
Can the school compare a rate before a sales call?
Arka has four student count bands. The rates are not public during pre launch, so this page does not present a public rate card. An indicative number is available in a pilot conversation.
- 02
Where will school data sit?
Data residency, access, retention, and exit terms belong in the contract before any deployment. This implementation preview does not claim a live school deployment.
- 03
Does the scope match a K to 12 school?
The current implementation record covers sixteen modules across academic, financial, and operating work. Three remain in progress. The status table below names that boundary.
- 04
Who carries the operating burden?
A pilot should define support, upgrades, data export, access control, and responsibility for each integration. Those terms are agreed with the school. They are not implied by this preview.
No public rate card yet.
The current pricing structure is indexed to student count in INR. Rates and GST amounts are not published during pre launch. An indicative number can be discussed for a prospective pilot, but it is not a public rate.
| Student count | Rate per student |
|---|---|
| Up to 500 students | Not yet published |
| 501 to 1,200 students | Not yet published |
| 1,201 to 2,500 students | Not yet published |
| Above 2,500 students | Not yet published |
The band boundaries come from the current pricing structure. No rate, signed pilot, production deployment, or response time is claimed on this page.
discuss an indicative rateWhat changes by December.
It is ten past six on a Tuesday in December. The principal has finished her day. The sheet of paper in front of her, the one with three things written on it, is empty. The transfer certificate she signed at four was generated in the morning from the one record of the child. The fee reminder went out from one list, on the day the calendar said.
The school did not become a different school. The classroom is what the parent paid for, what the inspector inspected, what the children remembered. The work the school does well stayed where it was. The work the school never asked to do is no longer on the desk.
A school does not run well because a platform runs it. A school runs well because the people running it have the hour and the quiet to run it.
We built Arka because we have watched, in the families of teachers and administrators we know, the small things pile up against people who deserved their evenings. The work of a school is real. Most of it is invisible. The platform we have written is the desk that work settles on. It is not the work. The work is yours.
